Girls Night In and Follicle count.

My Girls Night In was wonderful. I would probably never have had a nice long hot bath if it wasn't for Bea to have organised this. I am a hop in the shower kinda girl. But last night I turned the lights off and lit my pink frangipanni scented candle and soaked in the tub with my rubber duckies on guard in case I fell asleep in the tub or maybe they were perving. Then hopped into bed with Mod*onna, well not with her but with her new biography. My nephew bought it for me for my birthday and I thought it was a good time to start reading something non IF. But sorry Maddy I fell asleep, I was so tired and so relaxed I couldn't get past the second page. zzzzzzz

Last night was late night shopping in Sydney so I could have spent a fair bit if I wanted to but by staying in I saved a packet which I have donated. Having my mother suffer with cancer over the years and also some family and friends, I regularly donate to the Cancer Council. So I have chosen to continue and have made my donation to New South Wales Cancer Council.

My blood test this morning was a stressful one, I was on the brink of tears. Usually I am ok with all the poking and prodding but since my body is fueled by hormones at the moment I didn't cope as well. The nurse went straight for the knuckle and missed ! then my arm and nothing ! She said she wouldn't have another attempt. I had to run over to the hospital and have it drawn there. The Phlebolgist at the hospital was very sympathetic when I got there as she could tell I was upset. She found a new vein in the back of my hand and drew blood first go. Thank G#d! Then I had to dash back to the clinic for my ultrasound.

The ultrasound was ok. I have 6 follicles on my right ovary and 6 on my left, so 12 all up. There may have been a few more that were hidden behind my morning bowel. Well at least there were some ! So I don't have to fear that any more. One thing that is concerning me is the size of my follicles. She didn't measure all of them only the smallest, medium and largest.

On my right side was a 6mm 10mm and 16mm

On my left side was a 6mm 9mm and 11mm

The 16 mm is too big isn't it, I will probably lose that one wont I ? What are your thoughts ? To be honest I can't remember how it works. When I did IVF #1 I knew everything and if I didn't know I would hunt down the answer. This cycle I am feeling a bit lost.

**ok- updating this as I have just spoken to my nurse and she said they will probably ignore the 16mm as it may prove to be cystic. Can you still get cysts even though you don't suffer from cysts normally ?
